I found out about this group through the Lonely Planet guide and was attracted to it because Lonely Planet rated them highly *and* there would be no high pressure sales stops at carpet shops.

I also recommend them highly! We had a very informative guide, with a lovely small tour group. Two of us met in Kusadasi and then the warm and helpful company owners, Christine and Mehmet, drove us to Selcuk, where we met the rest of the group and proceeded to Ephesus.

Ephesus, Selcuk, Turkey

Ephesus is *definitely* worth seeing. The ruins are surprisingly well preserved; a lot of majestic architecture! You can really see how the Greek artistry in carving marble (on buildings and in sculptures) influenced the Romans. The art and architecture is very impressive. We all saw the Terraced Houses where the well off Romans lived. These are very impressive as well, with wonderful mosaic floors and painted walls. It’s possible to see so much detail from the glass walkways, bottom to top. The guide really brought it to life for us with the detail that he provided.
The museum was also terrific and it provides very valuable context for what you see at the Ephesus site.

My parents were quite worried about me being in Turkey by myself, but I felt 100% safe everywhere I went.
I highly recommend this tour company. It was a great way to see Ephesus and understand it in context.
